Bis zur Neuordnung bestand der Kanton Nangis aus den 17 Gemeinden Bannost-Villegagnon, Bezalles, Boisdon, La Chapelle-Rablais, Châteaubleau, La Croix-en-Brie, Fontains, Frétoy, Gastins, Jouy-le-Châtel, Maison-Rouge, Nangis, Pécy, Rampillon, Saint-Just-en-Brie, Vanvillé und Vieux-Champagne. Sein Zuschnitt entsprach einer Fläche von 254,02 km2.
Geschichte
- Der Kanton, der ursprünglich zum Arrondissement Fontainebleau gehörte, wurde 1926 dem Arrondissement Provins zugeordnet.
