Karl Zilles

Zilles war ab 1991 Direktor des C. und O. Vogt Instituts für Hirnforschung an der Universität Düsseldorf sowie ab 1998 Leiter des Instituts für Medizin im Forschungszentrum Jülich. 2012 ging er in den Ruhestand.

Er studierte an der Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe Universität in Frankfurt Medizin. Anschließend ging er als wissenschaftlicher Assistent an das Anatomische Institut der Medizinischen Hochschule in Hannover, wo er habilitiert wurde.
