Leben
Lois Collier wurde am 21. März 1917 in Salley, South Carolina, USA geboren. Sie war Schauspielerin, bekannt für Eine Nacht in Casablanca (1946), Flying Disc Man from Mars (1950) und Girl on the Spot (1946).
Frühes Leben
Colliers Vater war Ernest Jones, ein Apotheker aus Salley, South Carolina. In Begleitung ihrer Großmutter besuchte sie Hollywood, als sie 15 Jahre alt war, und beschrieb sich später selbst als „filmbegeistert“ zu dieser Zeit.[2] Sie besuchte das Limestone College in Gaffney in South Carolina.[3]
Schauspielkarriere
Ihr Film-Debüt gab Collier im Alter von 17 oder 18 Jahren im Jahr 1935 in Women Must Dress.[4] Die Hochzeit ihrer Tätigkeit als Schauspielerin waren die 1940er-Jahre. Ihr letzter Film war im Jahr 1958 The Fisher Family
Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs war sie unter anderem als Pin-Up-Girl im Yank, the Army Weekly zu sehen.[5]
Privatleben
Collier war mit dem Bankmanager Robert A. Duncan verheiratet.[6] Am 3. September 1943 gewährte er ihr die Scheidung.[6] Am 4. August 1945 heiratete Collier Robert Jackson Oakley, einen Agenten für Schauspieler.[7] Sie ließen sich 1956 scheiden.[8] Sie war ebenso mit Paul Schreibman verheiratet.[9]
Sie starb am 27. Oktober 1999 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, Kalifornien, USA.[9]
