Meg Russell

Meg Russell ist eine britische Politikwissenschaftlerin, die als Professorin für britische Politik und Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft am University College London (UCL) forscht und lehrt.[1] 2020 wurde sie als Fellow (FBA) in die British Academy gewählt.[2]
Werdegang
Russell legte 1987 an der London School of Economics and Political Science das Bachelor-Examen ab und war dann von 1988 bis 1992 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Centre for Systems and Software Engineering der South Bank University. Es folgte eine Tätigkeit als wissenschaftliche Angestellte von 1992 bis 1996 am House of Commons. 1996 machte sie den Master-Abschluss an der Middlesex University in London und wurde für zwei Jahre nationale Frauenbeauftragte der Labour Party. Es folgten zehn Jahre als Senior Research Fellow am UCL. Während dieser Zeit wurde Russell an der Middlesex University zur Ph.D. promoviert. Von 2008 bis 2014 war sie Reader am UCL, seit 2014 ist sie dort Professorin.[1]
Russell ist insbesondere für ihre Arbeiten zum Vergleich von parlamentarischen Regierungssystem bekannt. Sie war unter anderem als Beraterin für die Reform des House of Lords sowie des House of Commons tätig.[1]
