Sam Raskin

Sam Raskin (* 1987) ist ein Mathematiker, der sich mit Darstellungstheorie und algebraischer Geometrie beschäftigt.
Er studierte an der University of Chicago unter anderem bei Alexander Beilinson und Vladimir Drinfeld und promovierte 2014 bei Dennis Gaitsgory an der Harvard University. Danach war er am Massachusetts Institute of Technology, der University of Chicago und der University of Texas at Austin. Seit 2023 ist er Professor an der Yale University.
Raskin leitete mit Dennis Gaitsgory eine Gruppe von neun Mathematikern, die die Geometrische Langlands-Korrespondenz bewies. Diese stellt eine weitreichende Verbindung zwischen harmonischer Analyse, Zahlentheorie und Geometrie her.
Er erhielt einen New Horizons in Mathematics Prize für 2025.
