The ANDAM Fashion Awards, or “Prix de l’ANDAM,” are a French fashion awards ceremony organized by the National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts. The organisation presenting the ceremony was established in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour as part of a joint initiative between the Ministry of Culture and the organization Defi Mode. Since then, it has become recognized as a reference point for designers, fashion professionals, and members of the international press, as well as a gateway for young designers seeking to enter Paris Fashion Week.[1][2]

History
Initiated in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour and chaired from the outset by Pierre Bergé, and since 2018 by Guillaume Houzé, ANDAM’s mission is to discover and support fashion designers as well as innovative technological start-ups, both French and international, that actively contribute to the vitality of the Paris fashion scene, the attractiveness of the French fashion industry, and more broadly to the future of creative design.[3]
By bringing together major institutional and private stakeholders in the sector around this mission, ANDAM positions itself as a driver of the development of new economic models and provides creative, social, ethical, and environmental responses to the needs of an industry facing unprecedented change.[4] with a €60 000 L'Express Style prize being introduced.[1]
Each year, through its internationally recognized competition, ANDAM awards a total of €700,000 in grants and provides dedicated support from its sponsors to fashion businesses, enabling them to develop and sustain their operations.[1]
