Alexey Ostrovsky

Alexey Vladimirovich Ostrovsky[a] (Russian: Алексей Владимирович Островский; born 14 January 1976) is a Russian politician who served as the governor of Smolensk Oblast from 2012 to 2023. He is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. He previously served as a deputy of the State Duma where he headed the State Duma's Committee on International Affairs, and on State Duma's Commission on Credentials and Deputies' Ethics.[1] He holds degrees in law and economics.
