Amioides polyacanthus is a species of fish in the family Apogonidae, the cardinalfishes. It is endemic to the marine waters around the Philippines where it is found down to a depth of 80 m (260 ft). This species grows to a total length of 22 cm (8.7 in).[1] This species is the only known member of the genus Amioides.[2]
