Early life

From Katy, Texas, Coker attended James E. Taylor High School and played football and basketball.[1][2] He started at offensive lineman for the football team for three seasons, being an honorable mention all-district player as a sophomore, second-team all-district player as a junior and a first-team All-Texas selection by Dave Campbell's Texas Football as a senior.[2] Ranked the 48th-best offensive tackle nationally and the 60th-best player in Texas by 247Sports, Coker committed to play college football for the TCU Horned Frogs after having flipped from the Florida Gators.[3][4]

College career

Coker redshirted as a true freshman at TCU in 2019, appearing in three games.[5] He started eight games as a right tackle in 2020 and became a key player in 2021, starting all 12 games while being one of only two on the TCU line to do so that year.[6][7] He was an important part of the team in 2022, starting all 15 games as they reached the national championship, while being named honorable mention All-Big 12 Conference.[8][9] After returning as a starter for the 2023 season, Coker declared for the 2024 NFL draft.[10] He received an invite to the East–West Shrine Bowl.[11]
