Belinsky District

Belinsky District (Russian: Бели́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,124 square kilometers (820 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Belinsky.[1] Population: 28,881 (2010 Census);[3] 33,569 (2002 census);[6] 38,997 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 29.7% of the district's total population.[3]
