Chibuzo Agbo

Chibuzo Agbo (born March 25, 2001) is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard. He played for Cholet Basket since 2025.

High school career
Agbo attended St. Augustine High School in San Diego : he developed here into one of the top players in the area.
As a junior, he averaged 23.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, earning Western League Player of the Year honors and first-team All-San Diego Section recognition.[1] A four-star recruit, he committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders.[1]
College career
Texas Tech (2020–2022)
Agbo began his college career with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He played a limited role off the bench across two seasons, primarily contributing as a perimeter shooter.[2]
Boise State (2022–2024)
He transferred to the Boise State Broncos, where he took on a much larger offensive role.
During the 2023–2024 season, Agbo averaged 13.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game and earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention honors.[3] On December 5, 2023, he scored a career-high 27 points in a win over North Texas, making six three-pointers.[4]
USC (2024–2025)
For his final college season, Agbo transferred to the USC Trojans. He started 30 of 33 games and averaged 11.8 points per game, leading the team in three-pointers made (76).[5] His best performance came in a win over the Washington Huskies, where he scored 26 points and made seven three-pointers.[6]
He finished his college career with 1,313 points and 521 rebounds.[5]
Professional career
After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA draft, Agbo received an invitation to the NBA Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs.[7]
He then signed with Cholet Basket in the French LNB Pro A.[8]
After an uneven start to the 2025–2026 season, he progressively established himself as a key rotation player, combining outside shooting with improved defensive impact.[9] In April 2026, he recorded a career-high 31 points, including 7-of-8 shooting from three-point range agains JDA Dijon.[10]
Playing style
Agbo is primarily known for his perimeter shooting and his role as a floor spacer. He has described himself as a “3-and-D” player, combining three-point shooting with defensive intensity.[8]
