Curvy Kate

Curvy Kate is a lingerie brand specialising in D – K cup Bras and Swimwear. They are currently based in Uxbridge, London.^[1] Experts in lingerie and fit, their lingerie is made specifically for fuller busts, designed and fit inhouse by an all-female design team. Designs span back band sizes of 28-44.^[2] Curvy Kate officially launched in July 2009 at the Harrogate Lingerie Show.^[3]

Curvy Kate focuses on a customer first ethos, using real women to fit test products and a diverse range of models across campaigns and social media content. This stance on diversity has been warmly received within the industry.^[4][5][6]

Curvy Kate previously ran a ‘Star in a Bra’ competition to scout customer models to represent the brand in a section of campaigns, with winners including: Emma Tabor (2008) ^[7] Lauren Colfer (2009)^[8] Laura Ann Smith (2010)^{[citation needed]} Lizzie Haines (2011)^[9] Sophie Morgan (2012)^[10] Lotte Williams (2013) and Sophia Adams (2015).^{[citation needed]}

In November 2015, Curvy Kate announced the launch of their new brand Scantilly in DD – HH cup sizes,^[11] a darker and sexier iteration of the fuller bust Curvy Kate designs.

In recent years, they have launched a street interview-based initiative called ‘Uplift the Nation’, involving city wide take overs, street interviews and vox pop style games with members of the public.^[12] This continues to drive their community-focused marketing initiatives.
