Junior career

Mérida repeated his best result in junior majors at the 2022 edition of French Open, losing to tenth seed Dino Prižmić.[4][5]

He reached an ITF junior combined ranking of No. 15 on 3 January 2022.[6]

Professional career

2021-24: First professional matches, Futures titles

In October 2021, Mérida won his first pro title at the "Copa Alameda" in Madrid, a M15-level event. He defeated compatriot Diego Augusto Barreto in the final.[7][8]

The following season, Mérida earned his second Futures title at the M15 Valldoreix in May. He defeated top-seed Oriol Roca Batalla in straight sets.[9]

Mérida also earned titles at the 2024 season, in Antalya[10] and Madrid.[11]

2025: ATP debut, first Challenger title

Mérida made his ATP Tour debut in doubles at the 2025 Qatar Open, having been awarded a wildcard with Mubarak Al-Harrasi.[12] The pair lost 3–6, 4–6 to Yuki Bhambri and Ivan Dodig.[citation needed]

In July, he won his first Challenger title at Open de Pozoblanco, a home tournament, defeating sixth seed Sun Fajing in the final.[13][14][15]
