Dankovsky District

District in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dankovsky District (Russian: Данко́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the eighteen in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,894.85 square kilometers (731.61 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Dankov.[1] Population: 33,271(2021 census);[5] 35,468(2010 census);[2] 40,766 (2002 Census);[6] 19,040(1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Dankov accounts for 59.3% of the district's total population.[5]
