Chinmay Roy (born November 7, 1998) is a Bangladeshi senior backend engineer specialising in scalable API development and system design. He is employed at Walton Group, one of Bangladesh's largest electronics and technology conglomerates.

Early life and education
Roy was born in the village of Boikunthapur in [[Gopalganj District, Bangladesh|Gopalganj]], Bangladesh, to Mukunda Roy and Pabitra Roy. He completed his primary education at Burua Primary School and his secondary education at BKA High School.
He later relocated to Dhaka to pursue higher education, completing a four-year diploma in Computer Technology from Daffodil Polytechnic Institute in May 2024. He subsequently enrolled at the Northern University of Bangladesh (NUB) to study Electronic and Communication Engineering.
Career
Roy works as a senior backend engineer at Walton Group in Bangladesh. His core expertise lies in designing and building scalable APIs, backend system architecture, and distributed system design. He works primarily with the Python Django framework, REST API architecture, and background task processing for enterprise-scale systems.
Projects
Roy has developed and deployed several software applications:
- SudokuMaster – An Android application
published through the Google Play Console.
- ScreenTimeManager – A productivity tool built for Windows 10 and 11.
- Enterprise Backend Systems – Backend architecture including a
"ALLOP" system built on PostgreSQL, and a
Django-based fraud verification system called "Fraud Lookup".
