An animated series based on the Super Powers line was announced by DC Studios in February 2025, with Matt Beans attached.
Premise
The series follows a group of new students at the Alliance School for Heroes who hope to evolve their powers and graduate to become the next generation of heroes.[1]
Voice cast and characters
The students who will appear in the series are Lightning, the Flash, Plastic Man, Aquagirl, Green Lantern, and Terra, while Martian Manhunter appears as the principal of the Alliance School.[1]
Production
Development
In February 2025, DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran announced that it had greenlit three "younger-skewed" animated series—DC Super Powers, My Adventures with Green Lantern, and Starfire!—that were being co-produced with Warner Bros. Animation and executive producer Sam Register. The former was based on the DC Comics toyline the Super Powers Collection and its tie-in comic books. Matt Beans was set to executive produce the series while Michael Chang was the supervising producer.[1]
Release
DC Super Powers will be released as part of the "DC Elseworlds" label.[2]
