History

Deepki was founded in 2014 by Vincent Bryant and Emmanuel Blanchet. The company was established to provide data analytics to address carbon emissions in the built environment. Initially focused on energy monitoring, the company expanded its scope to include broader sustainability performance in response to tightening environmental regulations and investor requirements.[2]

Funding

The company's expansion has been supported by several investment rounds:

  • 2016: Secured €2.5 million in seed funding.[3]
  • 2019: Raised €8 million in a Series B round led by Statkraft Ventures and Citizen Capital.[4]
  • 2022: Completed a €150 million (US$166 million) Series C funding round led by Highland Europe and One Peak Partners, with participation from Bpifrance, Revaia, Hi Inov, Demeter, and Statkraft Ventures.[5]

In June 2025, Deepki announced an expansion of its United States operations, with plans to hire approximately 90 employees across its New York and Seattle offices over a two-year period.(source)

Acquisitions and Partnerships

Deepki has acquired several companies to integrate specialized technologies into its platform:

  • Fabriq (June 2022): A UK-based energy performance SaaS platform. The acquisition was intended to integrate asset-level analytics and expand the company's presence in the United Kingdom.[6]
  • Nooco (May 2023): A French startup, formerly part of VINCI Energies, specialized in measuring embodied carbon in construction materials. This acquisition allowed the platform to track emissions across a building’s lifecycle.[7]
  • SobreEnergie (February 2026): A French energy management firm founded by Caisse des Dépôts and La Poste Immobilier. The acquisition was intended to bridge the gap between asset management data and operational energy audits [8]

In 2023, Deepki entered a strategic partnership with CBRE Group to provide data analytics for CBRE’s sustainability consulting services. In 2024, the company was selected by PGIM Real Estate as a partner for its "RealAssetX Lab," an initiative to test digital solutions for property portfolio decarbonization.[9]

Platform and Services

Deepki provides a cloud-based platform for collecting and analyzing environmental data across property portfolios.[10] [11]

Technical Capabilities

  • Data Integration: The platform centralizes data from approximately 5,000 sources, including utility providers and IoT devices. It uses automated connectors and gap-filling models to address incomplete data sets.[12]
  • Regulatory Compliance: The platform supports reporting against international frameworks, including SFDR, GRESB, CRREM, and the EU Taxonomy.
  • Decarbonization Modeling: The software contains a library of over 130 standard retrofit actions with cost and impact estimates, as well as machine learning-based anomaly detection.
  • Consulting: The company provides strategic sustainability consulting and user support through its Deepki Advisory and Deepki Success service lines.
