Dianna Lee (born 2004[1]) is an American amateur golfer and senior at Northwestern University. At the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship for Northwestern University, she won the deciding match for their first NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship. In 2026, she competed in theAugusta National Women's Amateur, finishing in a tie for 19th place.[1]
Early Life and Education
Dianna Lee was born and raised in San Diego, California. She attended Westview High School, located in the Torrey Highlands neighborhood[2].
She graduated from Westview in 2022 and moved to Evanston, Illinois, to attend Northwestern University. At Northwestern, she is a member of the School of Communication, majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is expected to graduate in June 2026.
Junior Career
Prior to her collegiate career, Lee competed in PGA of America Southern California Tour. In 2019, she won the Toyota Tour Cup at Native Oaks Golf Club (formerly Woods Valley), finishing with a two-day total of 142 (66-76)[3].In 2020, she won the Porzak Golf & Finance of America Junior Tournament with a 18-hole score of 67 (-5). In 2021, she won the TTC Lizette Salas Classic at Morongo, finishing with a two-day total of 139 (69-70).
On the national stage, Lee was named a 2020 Rolex Junior All-American [4] by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) after winning the PING Heather Farr Classic[5]. She was a three-time qualifier for the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship (2019[6],2021[7],2022[8]) In 2019 at age 15, Lee qualified for the championship shooting a 70[6] at Canyon Crest Country Club. In Lee's 2022 qualification, she earned medalist honors at Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville, California with a six under par (66).
Collegiate Career
Freshman and Sophomore Seasons (2022–2024)
Lee debuted for the Northwestern Wildcats in the 2022–2023 season. She was named the 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, becoming the seventh player in program history to receive the honor[9]. In her debut season, she recorded four top 10 finishes, including a runner-up performance at the Silverado Showdown, where she shot back-to-back rounds of 69[2].
In her sophomore season, Lee appeared in all 36 rounds for the Wildcats. She recorded her highest finish of the year at the Illini Women’s Invitational, placing sixth with a five-under-par 211[2].
Junior Season and National Championship (2024–2025)
During her junior season, Lee appeared in 34 rounds and maintained a 73.21 stroke average. She earned her first collegiate individual victory at the 2025 PING/ASU Invitational, where she shot a 10-under-par 206 (70-68-68) to win the title by one stroke[10]. For her performance throughout the spring, she was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team[2].
2025 NCAA Championship

At the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship, held at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, Northwestern advanced through stroke play to reach the match play bracket. Lee went 2–1 in her individual matches, including a critical 2&1 victory over Oregon’s Kiara Romero. This helped the Wildcats reach the national final for the first time[11].
On May 21, 2025, Northwestern faced top-seeded Stanford in the championship final. With the overall team match tied at 2–2, the national title rested on the final match between Lee and Stanford’s Andrea Revuelta. After holding a 3-up lead, Lee won the match 1-up by parring the 18th hole. The victory secured a 3–2 win for Northwestern, marking the first national championship in the program's history[12].
Senior Season (2025–2026)
In her senior season, Lee recorded two individual tournament victories. In October 2025, she won the individual stroke play title at the East Lake Cup, carding a two-under-par 34 [13]in a rain-shortened round to finish one stroke ahead of the field[14].
In February 2026, Lee won the 2026 Spartan Sun Coast Invitational with a 54-hole total of 212 (-4)[15]. Following the event, she was named the Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week[16]. In April 2026, she competed in the Augusta National Women's Amateur, making the 36-hole cut and finishing in a tie for 19th place[1].
As of April 2026, Lee has yet to conclude her senior season. Her remaining schedule includes the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational (April 17–18) and the Big Ten Championships in Glendale, California (April 24–26), followed by the NCAA Regionals and NCAA National Championships in May[17]
