Career
In an interview with Drea O Show, Saulsberry said that he met rapper and labelmate Lil Durk in 2013 and has since then collaborated on multiple projects together[3]. Saulsberry then signed to Only The Family later that same year[3].
Saulsberry first rose to prominence in 2020 with the single "Me and Doodie Lo" with fellow rapper King Von[4]. The song became viral on YouTube, earning at least 8 million views shortly after its release[1].
In the following year, Saulsberry released his debut album, Big Doodie Lo, which contains guest appearances from rappers Lil Durk, Pooh Shiesty, Yung Mal, King Von, Big30, and Moneybagg Yo[5]. A deluxe version of the album was released in February 2022.
In 2022, Saulsberry was featured on Lil Durk's album 7220 (Deluxe) with the song "Did Shit To Me", which became Doodie Lo's first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100[6]. In late 2024, he released his second album, What Made Me.[7]
Personal Life
Saulsberry got his stage name from his aunt, who used to call him "Doodie"[8]. His musical influences included artists such as T.I., Gucci Mane, & Yo Gotti[9]. In May 2025, it was reported that Saulsberry was shot in the leg and robbed in Atlanta[10][11]. He was reported to be in stable condition and soon recovered from the shooting in June 2025 after taking physical therapy[12].
