Career

Born in Birmingham, Mitchell came through the Aston Villa academy, joining at under-13 level.[4][5] He signed a scholarship deal with Aston Villa in July 2022, aged 16.[6]

On 23 December 2023, Mitchell was loaned out to Southern League Premier Division Central club Alvechurch on a youth loan deal;[7] in February 2024 the loan deal was extended until the end of the season.[8] After making 25 appearances for Alvechurch, Mitchell returned to Aston Villa.[9] On 9 June 2024, after 12 years at Villa Park, Mitchell was released following the conclusion of his contract, along with seven other academy players.[10][11]

On 10 July 2024, Mitchell signed for EFL League Two club Swindon Town.[4][12][13] His professional debut for the club came on 13 August, in a 4–2 loss against Crawley Town in round one of the EFL Cup, in which he came on as a 71st–minute substitute for Joel Cotterill.[14][15] Mitchell's league debut came four days later when he came on as an 85th-minute substitute for Ollie Clarke in a 4–0 home defeat against Walsall.[16] [17]

On 22 November 2024, Mitchell joined National League North club Hereford on a one-month loan.[18] He scored on his debut one week later, in a 3–0 home league win against Rushall Olympic.[19] On 24 December, his loan was extended for a further month.[20]

On 31 July 2025, Mitchell joined National League South club Weston-super-Mare on a one-month loan.[21] In October he moved on loan to Leamington.[22][23]

In February 2026 he was released by Swindon, and signed for AFC Telford United.[24]
