Overview
The website was launched in 2008 as ScrawlFX and was rebranded to Gematsu in May 2011. It originally featured columns and articles by multiple contributors (Adam Meadows, Matthew Frassetti) before settling into a one-man operation under Romano.[1]
It has been frequently referenced by Famitsu,[2][3][4] as well as Western video game sites including IGN,[5][6] GameTrailers,[7] Eurogamer[8] and 1Up.com.[9]
