Location
The river rises at the South East corner of the Lake of Menteith, on the carse of Stirling (the flood plain of the upper reaches of the rivers Forth and Teith, upstream from Stirling). It flows South Eastward, through Flanders Moss. Finally, it feeds into the River Forth, 3km West of the Blair Drummond Safari Park and 2.5km North of Gargunnock.[2]
