Draft:Imported antisemitism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Imported antisemitism is the argument that immigrants and refugees, especially Muslims or Arabs from the Middle East, cause increases in antisemitism. It is based on the premises that such people are believed to hold anti-Jewish sentiments and are present in high numbers. It is thought, therefore, that they perpetrate antisemitism to such an extent that their presence is a primary reason for increases in antisemitism. The concept is particularly commonly discussed in Germany. It is a controversial, contested, and criticised idea.
