Luke Moller is a professional musician from Brisbane, Queensland. He is a former core member of The Luke Moller Quartet, and The Colorado Quartet, and is part of Luke Moller and Band [1][2]. He has a career as an international touring and studio string musician in country and bluegrass genres, including with notable American artists Hayes Carll, David Lowery and Maddie & Tae.[3][4][5]

His extensive work with artists, as well as his own materials, has accumulated over 14 million streams globally.[6]
Awards & Recognition
Moller won the Australian National Bluegrass Championships at Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2008 for fiddle, and in 2011 for mandolin.[7]
He was also a finalist in the 2021 Australian Folk Music Awards 'Traditional Folk Music Album of the Year' category for his collaboration on The Bulletin Debate with Liam Gerner. [8]
In 2024 he was awarded a Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Creative Fellowship to travel to Nashville, USA and improve his skills in outlaw country style electric guitar under tutelage from Brothers Osborne guitarist, Jason Graumlich.[9]
Contributions
Newcastle musician Ben Leece won the 'Best Alt Country Single' award at the global Independent Music Awards in 2018, with Moller on Fiddle.[10]
The Weeping Willows, of which Moller is credited as a regular band member, took out 'Artist of the Year' at the Australian Folk Music Awards in 2021, and two Golden Guitar Awards the following year in 2022 for 'Instrumental of the Year' and 'Bluegrass Recording of the Year'. [11][8][12]
Animated short Chomp, where Moller was a contributing musical editor, won multiple awards in 2020 including at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Cult Critic Movie Awards and World Film Carnival, Singapore.[13][14]
