Mitu Kumar is an Indian television producer, writer and director. She is known for her work with Balaji Telefilms on the television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and for creating independent projects including the short film Bawra Mann: The Heart Needs No Reason and the television series Bhaage Re Mann.

Early life
Mitu Kumar was born in India and later moved to Mumbai, where she began working in the Indian television industry. She became associated with production houses working on Hindi television programming before joining Balaji Telefilms during the production of the long-running television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.[1]
Career

Mitu Kumar worked with Balaji Telefilms during the production of the television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, where she served as part of the show's creative team and worked as a creative producer. The series aired on Star Plus and became one of the longest-running Hindi television dramas.
During her time on the show, Kumar worked with writers, directors and actors involved in the series and contributed to various creative and production decisions. [2]
Independent productions and short films
Kumar later moved into independent filmmaking. In 2013 she wrote and directed the short film Bawra Mann: The Heart Needs No Reason. The film featured actors Sakshi Tanwar, Nishikant Kamat and Anand Tiwari.[3]
The film was screened at international film festivals and received recognition at international short film competitions.
Kumar later directed and produced another short film titled O Re Manvaa, continuing her work in independent storytelling.
Independent television projects
Kumar later founded the production company Positive Thinkerz. Through the banner she created and produced the television series Bhaage Re Mann, which aired on the Zindagi channel and Bye Bai Bye.[4]
Her work under Positive Thinkerz has included the development of television pilots, short films and digital content.
