Early life

Mitu Kumar was born in India and later moved to Mumbai, where she began working in the Indian television industry. She became associated with production houses working on Hindi television programming before joining Balaji Telefilms during the production of the long-running television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.[1]

Mitu Kumar worked with Balaji Telefilms during the production of the television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, where she served as part of the show's creative team and worked as a creative producer. The series aired on Star Plus and became one of the longest-running Hindi television dramas.

During her time on the show, Kumar worked with writers, directors and actors involved in the series and contributed to various creative and production decisions. [2]

Kumar later moved into independent filmmaking. In 2013 she wrote and directed the short film Bawra Mann: The Heart Needs No Reason. The film featured actors Sakshi Tanwar, Nishikant Kamat and Anand Tiwari.[3]
