Comment: See WP:SOLUTION. Rewrite in WP:NPOV and resubmit. SocDoneLeft (talk) 19:36, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Comment: It is OK to have purely offline references, but if that is done there needs to be full details of how to locate the sources. As it happens, at least some of these sources appear to be available online, but not linked into the article correctly, so I would assume this is a mistake of some sort. At the moment it is not possible to assess notability, for companies it is not always easy to get over the notability hurdle, the submitting editor needs to consider WP:NCORP / WP:SIRS. Comment: Why do none of the references have links? sus —pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 18:41, 31 October 2025 (UTC)

History
Novonesis was founded on January 29, 2024, following a merger between Novozymes and Chr. Hansen, two Danish companies specializing in biotechnology.[4][5] The merger was first announced on December 12, 2022[4][6] and would result in Novozymes being the surviving legal entity of the two organizations.[6][2] Press material stated that the name "Novonesis" reflected the combination of "novo," meaning "new" in Latin, and "genesis," meaning "origin" or "beginning."[4]
Novozymes was known for producing industrial enzymes used in applications such as detergents[7], biofuels, and food production.[8] Chr. Hansen specialized in bacterial cultures for use in dairy products, probiotics, and agricultural solutions.[9]
The merger created one of the largest biotechnology companies in Denmark, with a combined product portfolio encompassing enzymes, microbial cultures, and other products for a variety of industries.[5]
In 2025, Novonesis reached an agreement with DSM-Firmenich to acquire its shares of the Feed Enzyme Alliance.[10]
Activities
As of 2024, Novonesis has over 10,000 employees and has activities in over 45 countries.[1] The merged Novonesis has its headquarters in Lyngby[11] but maintains a presence in other locations in Denmark.[4]
Company activities are divided into two divisions: Food and Health Biosolutions and Planetary Health Biosolutions.[1]
