Rust was the first album to feature vocalist Gabriel Keyes, who joined the band in 2017.[7] The album retains the band's sleaze rock and glam metal roots while incorporating a more modern hard rock sound.[8]
Three singles were released in support of the album: "We Are Legion", "Reptile" and "In the Maze".[1] All three tracks received promotional releases accompanied by music videos.[9]
The album represents a new era for the band, both musically and in terms of lineup stability, following several years of inactivity and lineup changes.[10]
Release and promotion
The album was preceded by the release of the single "We Are Legion" in August 2019.[11] This was followed by "Reptile" later that month.[12] The third single, "In the Maze", was released on the same day as the album.[13]
Music videos were produced for all three singles, contributing to the album's promotion across digital platforms.[14]
