In addition: this reads like an advertisement at least in part. For example one tote bag, with a design emphasis on comfort, durability, and simplicity. - these are subjective and wholly positive comments. This detracts from being a neutral, accurate encyclopedic. ChrysGalley (talk) 21:24, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

History

In 2023, Jorge Castello Branco and Felipe Tersi, then aged 25 and 28 respectively, founded Slyce after working for three years in the Mergers and Acquisitions division at the Itaú BBA bank. Branco left the bank first to pursue an entrepreneurial venture, with Tersi following a few months later. Branco cited his interest in sports and entrepreneurship as central motivations for the project. Influenced by the experience of his older brother, who had previously founded a nutritional supplement company, Branco began developing the concept of a sportswear brand.[2]

With support from former professional tennis player Mauro Menezes, Branco began holding meetings with suppliers, event organizers, and professional athletes to structure the initiative. The name “Slyce” is derived from the tennis term “slice,” with the spelling altered by the addition of a “y” to create a distinctive visual identity for the logo.[2]

Retail

In retail, Slyce has begun opening physical stores, debuting with a unit in Fazenda Boa Vista, in Porto Feliz (SP), and a temporary store at the Shopping Cidade Jardim shopping mall, in São Paulo.[3]

On April 30, 2025, Slyce opened its first physical retail store at MorumbiShopping in São Paulo, Brazil.[2][3]

ASICS collaboration and SP Open collection

In 2025, Slyce collaborated with global sportswear company ASICS to launch a limited apparel collection developed for the SP Open, a WTA 250 tournament held from 6 to 14 September 2025 at Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo, Brazil.[4][AI-retrieved source]

The collection aimed at tennis enthusiasts looking for apparel suitable for both sporting activities and casual wear. It comprised eight T-shirts, two sweatshirts (with and without hood), four cap models, and one tote bag.[4]

The products were sold exclusively at the official SP Open store during the tournament.[4]

In May 2025, Slyce launched a clothing line in partnership with professional tennis player Luisa Stefani, who is sponsored by the brand.[5]

In late 2025, Slyce launched the “Slyce Project,” a program designed to support professional tennis players without sponsorship by providing equipment and financial benefits.[6]
