History
Tresata was founded in 2011 by Abhishek Mehta[1][2] & Richard Morris.[3] In the early days of “big data,” the company initially focused on delivering customer intelligence and building real-time analytics systems on distributed computing platforms such as Apache Hadoop to handle high volumes of customer and transactional data.[4]
In the time since, Tresata has expanded its focus to enterprise-wide data automation & AI enablement.[1]
Between 2011-2019, Tresata worked with global enterprises in industries including financial services, retail, manufacturing, IOT, healthcare, and transportation. Public materials reference use cases such as customer intelligence, AML, KYC, IoT device data integration, & operational data modernization.[5]
In October 2018, Tresata received a US$50 million growth investment from GCP Capital Partners. Media reports at the time stated that the round valued the company at over US$1 billion.[6]
