Early life and career
Laura Olivia Day was born on May 16, 2004, in Niterói, Rio De Janeiro.[2][3] She[b] would often play guitar. Day would become popular in digicore scene with their pop rap songs in the early 2020s.[4] By 2022, they felt constraint by the sound and began shifting towards more rock-oriented styles. Their debut studio album, still-life, was independently released in January 2024. After May 2024, their album, "For the Rest of Your Life".[5] Frank Ude of Doth Music would say the album is a "punk and shoegaze" combined record that "balances peacefulness with an attention-challenging edge."[6]
Musical style and influences
Twikipedia had begun releasing music in 2020. Releasing their debut studio album chronic in December of 2022. Multiple sources often described her genre as digicore.[4][7] On his review of Day's extended play (EP) Still-Life (2024), Ewan Gleadow writing for Cult Following's described it as bedroom pop.[8] Twikipedia has been described to take inspiration from artists such as Parannoul.
