The station operates with a male voice in the Farsi language, and transmissions are believed to be prerecorded. Each transmission is composed of six messages of 15 or 20 minutes in length each beginning with a male voice saying "Tavajjoh, Tavajjoh, Tavajjoh" which translates to "Attention," followed by a long series of numbers, spoken in groups of 5 digits. These numbers are assumed to be decrypted by its recipients using a one-time pad.[2] The broadcasts, made twice daily, at 18:00 UTC and 02:00 UTC, last for 90 or 120 minutes depending on the message length.
The station began broadcasting on the frequency 7910kHz on February 28th, 2026 at 18:00 UTC. However, on March 4, 2026, V32's operating frequency was jammed by Iran's so called "bubble" jammer. Shortly after, V32 resumed operations on a new frequency of 7842kHz. [3][4][5][2]
Designation
The designation V32 was assigned by the numbers station monitoring group ENIGMA 2000, with V standing for Various (other) languages.[6]
Signal Source
As of March 20, 2026, no government has claimed ownership of V32. The station is speculated to be broadcast to covert recipients in Iran by an entity on the anti-Iran side of the war considering Iran's attempts at jamming the signal. Triangulation efforts by radio enthusiasts have estimated its transmission location to be Central or Southern Europe, where the CIA have previously broadcast numbers stations.[4][2]
