Lee Won-hee (Korean: 이원희; born June 26, 2007), known mononymously as Wonhee (Korean: 원희), is a South Korean singer and actress. She is a member of the girl group Illit under Belift Lab. Wonhee first gained recognition by ranking first in the 2023 JTBC survival show R U Next?. She has since pursued solo activities, including recording an original soundtrack, making her acting debut, and performing a solo cover praised by IU.

Early life
Wonhee was born on June 26, 2007, in Busan, South Korea, and has an older brother. Her family moved to Changwon during her elementary school years. She was street-cast by Belift Lab at the Express Bus Terminal in Seoul in February 2023. She attends Hanlim Multi Art School, majoring in practical music.[1]
Career
2023–2024: R U Next? and debut with Illit
In 2023, Wonhee participated in the JTBC and Hybe survival show R U Next?. Despite having trained for only one month, she showed consistent improvement and ranked first in the finale, becoming a member of Illit.[2][3]
The group debuted on March 25, 2024, with the extended play Super Real Me and the lead single "Magnetic".[4]
2024–present: Solo activities and acting debut
In May 2025, Wonhee made her solo OST debut with the ballad "The Look In Your Eyes" (also known as "The Story Your Eyes Tell Me"), Part 3 of the soundtrack for the SBS drama Spring of Youth.[5]
She made her acting debut with a cameo appearance in the final episode of the same drama, aired on July 2, 2025, playing an energetic character known as the "airport girl".[6]
On December 31, 2025, Wonhee performed a solo cover of IU's "Good Day" at the 2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon. The performance, which included the song's challenging triple high note, received significant attention, and IU personally praised Wonhee's singing and facial expressions.[7]
