After not being selected in the 2024 NFL draft, Hatten signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent.[8][9] On August 26, Hatten was informed that he won the starting job over incumbent long snapper Scott Daly, being one of 3 UDFAs to make the Lions' initial 53 man roster.[10] Hatten is 1 of 4 former Idaho Vandals that are actively playing in the NFL as of the 2024 Season. In the 2024 NFL regular season, Hatten was tied for the most tackles made by Long Snappers at five.

Hatten is of Mexican descent through his mother.[11] His identical twin, Hayden, played with him at Idaho.[12][13]
