James Munro Nixon (1820  April 23, 1899) was an American circus proprietor and impresario.

James Munro Nixon was born in the United States during the 19th century. Around 1836, young Nixon started as a stable groom in a circus, eventually performing with multiple troupes in the 1840s and 1850s as an acrobat, ringmaster, and equestrian director.[1]
