Olajide Abubakar Rasak (born June 2000), known professionally as Jidex, is a Nigerian fashion influencer, activist, critic, and philanthropist[1] Between 2024 and 2025, he experienced significant audience growth on social media, reaching one million followers on TikTok in 2025. Nigerian media outlets reported on the milestone, noting it as one of the faster growth trajectories among Nigerian creators during that period.[2]

In 2024, his fashion brand, Jidex Klothing, received the “Fastest Growing Fashion House” award at the Cool Wealth Awards.[3] That same year, he appeared as a honorary guest at the Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU) Pageantry & Awards.[4]
In September 2025, Vanguard Nigeria included him in its coverage of emerging Nigerian creatives contributing to digital media discourse.[5] He was nominated and recognized at the African Creators Summit on January 23, 2025, and received a subsequent nomination at the 2026 edition on January 29,[6][7][8] 2026. On February 9, 2026, he was nominated and won a Top
Creator Award at the 8th Edition of The Emperor Awards (2025/2026).[9]
Early life and education
Olajide Abubakar Rasak was born in June 2000 in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria, to Mr. Folorunsho Rasak and Mrs. Jumoke Rasak. He was raised in Ijebu Ode, where he spent his formative years.[10][11]
He began his early education at Leaders' Foundation Primary School in Ijebu Ode. He later proceeded to Leaders' College, Ijebu Ode, for his secondary school education. Following this, Olajide attended Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Iperu, Ogun State, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Creative Arts. His academic background in the arts is credited with providing the foundation for his later pursuits in digital media, fashion, and music.[12][13]

Social Media and Public Commentary
Between the year 2024 and 2025, Jidex expanded his social media audience, reaching one million followers on TikTok in 2025. In September 2025, Vanguard Nigeria included him in its coverage of “Top Emerging Nigerian Creatives,” citing his contributions to digital media discussions.[5]
During this period, his content broadened from humor and social observation to include commentary on public and civic issues. He addressed several widely discussed digital incidents, including the reported kidnapping of content creator Peller and the death of comedian Sanku.[14][15][16]
In an interview with Punch Newspapers, Jidex stated that his engagement with social advocacy began in 2024,[1] including efforts to assist individuals in recovering assets lost to fraudulent business schemes. Responding to comparisons with other activists especially Verydarkman in The Sun Nigeria, he stated that his actions were guided by personal principles rather than emulation.[17] On January 23, 2025, he was nominated and recognized at the African Creators Summit. He received a subsequent nomination at the 2026 edition of the African Creators Summit on January 29, 2026.[18][19]
Music Career
Since Launching his career as a recording artist, Jidex has released tracks including "Blessings", "Broda Zazuu", and "44 Flows".[20][21]
Jidex Foods Nigeria Limited
In October 2025, Jidex launched Jidex Foods Nigeria Limited, a Nigerian food and snack company. The food business was established as part of his expansion into offline entrepreneurial ventures beyond just digital content creation and fashion. Jidex Foods Nigeria Limited operates within the food services sector, focusing on the production and distribution of affordable food and snack products targeted at the mass market. Trademarked as Jidex Foods on the 26th day of October 2026.
The launch of the company marked a diversification of Jidex’s business interests, positioning him within Nigeria’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) landscape
