Dr. Ramniklal K. Gandhi (1929–2003) was a prominent Indian pediatric surgeon born in Khanpar, near Wankaner in Gujarat. He was known for his pioneering work in pediatric surgery and made significant contributions to medical education and surgical practice in India.
Dr. Gandhi served as the President of the Association of Surgeons of India and was the Editorial Secretary of the Indian Journal of Surgery for over two decades, from 1965 to 1989. His efforts were instrumental in shaping modern pediatric surgical standards in India.
In recognition of his contributions to the field of medicine, he was awarded the Padma Shri in 1985 by the Government of India.[2][3]
