Founding Director, Ray McLean,[6][7][8] began a pilot program in 1992 involving the Central District Football Club in South Australia. The team's improved standing in the 1993, 1994 and 1995 seasons,[9] created interest among the club's corporate partners who became interested in what the team development and culture change programs could achieve in their organisations. Other teams in the South Australian National Football League followed suit.[10][11][1][12][13] McLean also re-oriented the program framework to address the various corporate objectives and was able to apply the principles of the model in business settings.[14]
As of October 2014, Leading Teams had facilitators located in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Queensland.[15]
The company's partners and facilitators include Simon Fletcher, Gerard Murphy, Kurt Wrigley, Daniel Healy, Justin Peckett, Aaron Rogers, and Craig Hodges.[5]
