Light: Science & Applications is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by the Nature Publishing Group on behalf of the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Optical Society. It covers research on all aspects of optics. The journal was established in March 2012. The founding editor-in-chief was Jianlin Cao, who is now honorary editor-in-chief. As of 2026[update] the co-editors-in-chief are Martin Booth (University of Oxford) and Yun-Feng Xiao (Peking University).[1]
