Matthew Lauter (born September 20, 2002)[1] is an American college football tight end for the Boise State Broncos.

Early life
Lauter attended Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, California. As a junior he brought in 20 passes for 316 yards and three touchdowns, while also collecting 47 tackles, three forced fumbles, and an interception.[2] Coming out of high school, Lauter committed to play college football for the Boise State Broncos.[3]
College career
Lauter was redshirted as a freshman in 2021. In 2022, Lauter appeared in all 14 games where he notched four receptions for 40 yards.[4] In week 5 of the 2023 season, he tallied three receptions for 76 yards versus Memphis.[5] Lauter finished the 2023 season with nine receptions for 157 yards and three touchdowns.[6] In week 3 of the 2024 season, he hauled in seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown in a win over Portland State.[7] In week 5, Lauter recorded four catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Washington State.[8] During the 2024 season, he notched 47 receptions for 619 yards and seven touchdowns.[9]
