Early life

Career

Walls won the gold medal in the men's omnium event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.[7]

Walls was involved in an accident during the 2022 Commonwealth Games when his bike was catapulted over the barriers and into the spectators.[8]

Honours and awards

Walls was awarded the Freedom of the Borough of Oldham on 8 September 2021.[9]

He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 New Year Honours for services to cycling.[10][11]
