Life and career

In 2000, together with Lustro and Totò Nasty, he formed Microphones Killarz, with whom, after years of apprenticeship, he released the albums No Problem (2005) and No Sense (2007).[1] The albums, distributed throughout Italy, met with considerable success. His first solo project was Propaganda, released in collaboration with ElDoMino and distributed by FunkYaMama in 2006; the album received excellent reviews on hip hop websites.[2]

In 2009, he joined the Blue Nox collective, alongside leading names in the Italian rap scene such as Kiave, Ghemon, Macro Marco, and Hyst.[3] In 2010, he released his second EP, entitled Le valigie per restare. The following year, after releasing two singles ("Per le briciole" and "Le cose buone"), he released his third EP, entitled Bagagli a mano.

On 7 September 2012, Macro Beats released his first official album, Disco Inverno, which achieved considerable media success.[4] To promote the project, he embarked on a lengthy national tour, with performances on major stages such as Hip Hop TV B-Day at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan. In September of the same year, the Meeting of Independent Labels awarded the rapper Best Soloist.[5]

On 27 January 2015, Laska, his second official album, was released. The album, characterized by electronic sounds, brought the rapper into the mainstream.[6] Following its success, he embarked on his second national tour.

On 13 January 2017, Macro Beats also released Lungomare Paranoia, a secret release, which entered the top ten of best-selling albums in Italy.[7]

In 2018, he signed a contract with Universal, ending his working relationship with Macro Beats.[8] His fourth official album, titled Blue Karaoke, was released on 22 June.[9] The first singles released were "Pratica" and "Tu ed io", the latter in collaboration with CoCo.[10] As with previous projects, this one was also scheduled for a national tour. Towards the end of the year, he began collaborating with producer Sick Luke, releasing the singles "Akureyri" and "Pazzo di te".[11] This relationship culminated with the announcement of the album Neverland, released on 11 October 2019. The album, in addition to debuting at number five on the iTunes charts, was promoted first with three live shows in Milan, Naples and Lecce, and then with the "Fuori dalla città tour".[12]

On 4 June 2020 he released the song "Ho guarda un'altra", followed the following month by the singles "Così forte" and "Paura di me".[13] On 8 September he released the single "Vivere", featuring rapper Izi,[14] which previewed his fifth studio album, Mentre nessuno guarda, released on 16 October 2020.[15]

On 11 February 2021, he released the single "Soli", in collaboration with Ghemon and Ginevra, while on the 26th of the same month,[16] the single "Mille cose" was released, featuring singer Rainsford. Both songs were later included, along with six other unreleased tracks, in the deluxe edition of the album.[17]

On 29 September 2021 he released the single "Bromance" with rapper CoCo, a preview of the album of the same name, released on 22 October.[18] On 5 May 2023, he released his eighth studio album, Stupido amore.[19][20] His ninth studio album, Discordia, armonia e altri stati d'animo, followed on 24 October 2025.[21]

Personal life

Living in Milan,[22] he graduated with honors from the IED in Rome and has collaborated with many Italian and international artists on the graphic design of various musical projects.[23]
