Meshchovsky District

Meshchovsky District (Russian: Мещо́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kaluga Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,237.54 square kilometers (477.82 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Meshchovsk.[6] As of the 2021 Census, the total population of the district was 11,529, with the population of Meshchovsk accounting for 33.0% of that number.[6]
