Methanoplanus

Methanoplanus is a genus of archaeans in the family Methanomicrobiaceae,[1] comprising three species of methanogenic, or methane-producing, archaea. The cells are irregular coccoid in shape, tend to stain Gram-negative and do not form endospores.[2]
