Ministry of Labor (Palestine)

The Ministry of Labor is a government agency in the State of Palestine established in 1994, responsible for labor and employment issues. Its mission is to create a favourable work environment, promote social justice, protect the rights of workers, and ensure that employers comply with labor laws and regulations.[1] Enas Dahadha Attari [ar] is the current Minister of Labor.[2][3]

Functions

The Ministry of Labor of Palestine is responsible for the following key functions:[4]

  • Developing policies and strategies related to labor and employment.
  • Administering labor laws and regulations, and ensuring compliance with them.
  • Regulating the labor market and addressing issues related to labor mobility.
  • Ensuring workplace safety and health, and preventing occupational hazards.
  • Addressing the needs of vulnerable groups in the labor market, such as women, youth, and people with disabilities.
