Polovinsky District

Polovinsky District (Russian: Половинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,728 square kilometers (1,053 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo of Polovinnoye.[1] Population: 12,255 (2010 census);[3] 16,295 (2002 Census);[6] 17,123 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Polovinnoye accounts for 37.9% of the district's total population.[3]
