WikiProject Australia was formed to foster better articles on the country of Australia with a spirit of cooperation. The project is a home base that provides a place for Wikipedians (editors) to discuss issues, while share information and resources regarding improvements to Australian related articles, which can be discussed at the project's notice board. To join WikiProject Australia (anyone may join), you can list your username on the members page (this is not mandatory for participation).
The project generally considers any article related to Australia to be a valid topic.
As of 29 March 2026, there are 215,377 articles within the scope of WikiProject Australia, of which 599 are featured and 949 are good articles. This makes up 3.01% of the articles on Wikipedia, 5.14% of all featured articles and lists, and 2.17% of all good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etc., there are 562,078 pages in the project.
Editors are encouraged to also participate in the more regional and/or topic specific projects listed below.
