The Princeton Revolution is a professional American table tennis team based in Princeton, New Jersey. Founded in 2023, the team is one of the eight charter members of Major League Table Tennis (MLTT), competing in the league's East Division.[1] The Revolution finished as the runners-up in the inaugural 2023–24 MLTT Championship.[2]

History
The Princeton Revolution was established in September 2023 following the formation of Major League Table Tennis by entrepreneur Flint Lane. The team's ownership group includes majority owner Roger Kang, Andre Liu, and Dimitrij Ovtcharov, a German Olympic medalist.[3] In November 2024, it was reported that Taiwanese star Lin Yun-ju also joined the ownership group of the franchise.[4]
In their inaugural 2023–24 season, the Revolution finished the regular season with a 13–9 record, earning second place in the East Division. During the 2024 Championship Weekend in Chicago, the team defeated the Bay Area Blasters in the semifinals before falling to the Texas Smash in the finals.[2]
Team identity
The "Revolution" name is a direct tribute to the city's pivotal role in the American Revolutionary War. The team is named in honor of the Battle of Princeton (January 3, 1777), a decisive victory led by General George Washington that served as a major turning point in the war for independence. This historical connection is further reflected in the team's primary colors of red, white, and blue, which evoke the "Spirit of '76" and the local heritage of the Princeton area.
