Pyrausta tatalis

Pyrausta tatalis is a moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1877.[1] It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from California to Texas and Oklahoma.[2]

The wingspan is about 20 mm.[3] The forewings are dark brown. The hindwings are yellow ocherous with a dark subterminal line and a discal spot near the base.[4] Adults have been recorded on wing from April to October.
