Randy Schobinger

Randy A. Schobinger (December 15, 1969 – August 13, 2024) was an American politician who served as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from the 40th district from 2016 until his death in 2024. Elected in November 2016, he assumed office on December 1, 2016.

Early life and education
Schobinger was born in Minot, North Dakota, on December 15, 1969.[1] Raised there, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Minot State University.[2]
Career
Outside of politics, Schobinger worked in the insurance industry. He was a candidate for North Dakota state treasurer in 2000, losing narrowly to Kathi Gilmore.[3] He served as a member of the North Dakota Senate from 1995 to 2006. He was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in November 2016 and assumed office on December 1, 2016.[4][5]
Personal life and death
Schobinger was married to Jenny Sauer at the time of his death.[6] He died of cancer in Delano, Tennessee, on August 13, 2024, at age 54.[6][7]
