Stepnovsky District

Stepnovsky District (Russian: Степно́вский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-six in Stavropol Krai, Russia.[2] Municipally, it is incorporated as Stepnovsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the southeast of the krai. The area of the district is 1,887 square kilometers (729 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Stepnoye.[2] Population: 22,192 (2010 census);[3] 23,315 (2002 Census);[7] 19,520 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Stepnoye accounts for 25.3% of the district's total population.[3]
